Exciting Gold Drilling Results from the O’Brien Project
Radisson Mining Resources Inc. (TSX-V: RDS, OTCQB: RMRDF) is excited to announce impressive findings from its latest deep diamond drill holes at the O’Brien Gold Project. This project, fully owned by Radisson, is situated in the renowned Abitibi region of Québec, known for its rich gold mining history. These results stem from an extensive, fully-funded 35,000-metre drill program focused on uncovering deeper mineralization trends.
Exploration Highlights
The results from three drill holes represent a key exploration initiative aimed at expanding the recognized high-grade gold mineralization trend known as "Trend 1." These drill holes reached depths of approximately 1,100 metres, intersecting the downward extension of this mineralization trend. Notably, the central hole, OB-24-324, revealed an outstanding intersection of 27.61 grams of gold per tonne (g/t) over 6.0 metres, including a remarkable 102.00 g/t Au over a narrower span of 1.1 metres. Additionally, another significant section was recorded, averaging 6.83 g/t Au over 10.0 metres.
Drill Hole Details
The impressive results underscore the ongoing potential for high-grade gold at these considerable depths. Hole OB-24-322 also produced encouraging findings, with an average of 8.75 g/t Au over 5.2 metres. These results highlight not only the high-grade character of the mineralization but also reinforce the accuracy of deposit models that anticipated these rich intersections at depths far exceeding earlier resource estimates.
Insights from Company Leadership
Matt Manson, President & CEO of Radisson, shared his thoughts on the results: "We've confirmed a significant extension of high-grade mineralization at our O’Brien Project. Today’s drilling results reflect our commitment to uncovering gold potential at depth. Each drill hole provides further evidence of extensive mineralization and the solid nature of our exploration efforts as we seek new ways to increase our mineral resources. The holes we’ve drilled so far indicate only a glimpse of the gold potential lying beneath the historical mine’s working area. We anticipate continued success with our deeper drilling activities in the months ahead."
Gold Mineralization at O’Brien
At the O’Brien site, gold mineralization is found within quartz-sulphide veins interspersed among various rock types, particularly within the Piché Group formations adjacent to the productive Larder Lake-Cadillac Break. These identified zones of mineralization are typically narrow, yet they have consistently shown length and continuity, supported by the historical mine’s outputs exceeding 15 g/t Au over significant vertical distances.
Current Resource Estimates
Modern drilling activities suggest an estimated Indicated Mineral Resource of about 0.50 million ounces at an impressive grade of 10.26 g/t Au. Additionally, inferred mineral resources are estimated to be 0.45 million ounces at a lower grade of 8.64 g/t Au, highlighting great potential for further resource growth through ongoing drilling and exploration.
Future Exploration Plans
The current exploration phase aims to delineate well-defined mineralized veins located east of the historic mine. Recent findings indicate the presence of high-grade shoots part of a sequence of repeating mineralized trends. The team is eager about the potential to uncover additional high-grade gold zones in unexplored regions of the project.
Drilling operations are ongoing, with two rigs currently in use; one is focusing on shallower targets while the second is aimed at deeper exploratory efforts to further define and expand the mineral resource. With increasing momentum, Radisson intends to continue sharing navigational updates and drill results as it progresses through each stage of its exploration campaign.
