PSEG Long Island Achieves Top Spot in Customer Satisfaction
PSEG Long Island is proud to announce its outstanding achievement as it ranks highest in customer satisfaction among business customers in the East Large Segment, as indicated by the recent J.D. Power Electric Utility Business Customer Satisfaction Study for 2025. This impressive accomplishment marks a remarkable journey from the ranking's lower tiers to the top position.
The J.D. Power survey engaged 18,132 business customers throughout the nation. The "East Large" category encompasses major electric utility providers operating across various states, including New Jersey, New York, and Virginia, among others. This broad participation emphasizes the competitive landscape within which PSEG Long Island excels.
David Lyons, interim president and COO of PSEG Long Island, stated, "Since we began operations in 2014, our commitment to enhancing the experience for the approximately 1.2 million electric customers we serve has been unwavering. This includes over 130,000 commercial customers. After extensive improvements over the last decade, receiving the highest ranking in business customer satisfaction across 12 states is truly rewarding."
In the survey, PSEG Long Island earned the top spot across four critical categories: Digital Channels, Customer Relations, Reasonable Pricing, and Information Provided. Such recognition showcases the dedication and effort invested by PSEG Long Island's employees in creating valuable programs and support systems for local businesses.

The utility's largest commercial clients are supported through a specialized team known as Major Accounts, which facilitates direct interactions with key decision-makers in those businesses. This dedicated approach ensures that all customer needs are addressed promptly and effectively.
To provide consistent support to small business clients, PSEG Long Island deploys Business First Advocates. These advocates work closely with businesses in various commercial districts, offering concierge-style services to help them effectively manage their electricity requirements.
Since 2018, PSEG Long Island has introduced numerous economic development initiatives, investing over $2.8 million to support local entrepreneurs and businesses. With over $400,000 allocated since 2018, this program has assisted more than 170 new establishments, further contributing to economic revitalization.
Community support is also a significant focus for PSEG Long Island. Through partnerships with local business groups, chambers of commerce, and civic associations, the Community Thrive Program gives businesses opportunities for grants of up to $10,000 for improvement projects that brighten local downtown areas, enhancing commerce and community engagement.
