MIAMI, September 30, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- GRILLiT, Inc. (the "Company" or "GRILLiT") (GRLT) today announced that it is currently testing new menu items at its Miami Airpark Plaza location. The new items consist of quinoa, Caribbean rice, and Caribbean honey lime dressing. Quinoa is a "pseudo-grain" that is becoming more recognized for its high nutritional value. Quinoa provides all of the essential amino acids, which are the building blocks of protein, and is considered a "complete protein" source. In addition, this pseudo-grain is a good source of fiber and contains monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats. Quinoa also embodies vitamins and minerals such as iron, magnesium, phosphorus, and calcium. For all of its nutritional qualities, it comes as no surprise that the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) of the United Nations earlier this year declared 2013 as "The International Year of the Quinoa."
