Effnet AB, the premier provider of header compression software for wireless and fixed networks, today announced that it has licensed its header compression technology to Altiostar Networks, Inc., an entrepreneurial company building innovative solutions for the mobile broadband industry.
3GPP Long Term Evolution (LTE) is expected to be the leading mobile broadband technology in the near future with exponentially increasing data usage every year. The Radio Network Access (RAN) within LTE is evolving rapidly to serve the data users in the best possible way, supporting base-station form factors and capacities ranging from small-cells (distributed base-stations), macro-cells (traditional base-stations) to cloud RAN (centralized base-stations). Effnet has licensed its header compression technology for all these types of base-station products across the mobile broadband industry.
