BREWSTER COUNTY - Crossing the border illegally ended up with one man dead in Brewster County.
Border Patrol agents found Alvaro Navaro-Perez's body in the Big Bend National Park back in August.
The body was found south of Marathon and east of Highway 385.
Investigators say 37-year-old Leonel Lopez-Sanchez guided Perez and five others across the border.
Agents say he admitted to that and told them that he's crossed into the United States illegally several times.
According to the report, the group crossed through the San Vicente crossing.
Perez told Sanchez he couldn't go on because he wasn't feeling well.
So the group ended up leaving him behind.
Lopez-Sanchez and his brother, Marco Antonio, were arrested for smuggling illegal immigrants across the border.
