Zygo Receives $4 Million Production Order From Major Medical Device Company

MIDDLEFIELD, Conn., Sept. 25, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Zygo Corporation (Nasdaq: ZIGO ), a worldwide supplier of optical metrology instruments and high precision optical systems, today announced that its Optical Systems Division has been awarded an order valued in excess of $4 million from a major medical device manufacturer to produce high performance lens assemblies. Manufacturing will take place at Zygo's Electro-Optics assembly location in Tucson, Arizona.

"This order is continuing testimony to Zygo's strength in medical device manufacturing. Our new FDA-qualified facility in Tucson strengthens our positioning in electro-optics to attract highly-specialized assignments like this order," stated John Stack, President of the Optical Systems Division.
