The Spirits of Mexico Tasting Competition took place on September 15 th and 16 th . Internationally recognized industry experts, in a blind tasting, selected which brands were awarded the coveted 2013 Spirits of Mexico Medals. Brands are judged on five essential characteristics: appearance, aromatics, flavor, mouthfeel and finish. Each of these subsets has varying ultimate scores, with aromatics and flavor scoring the highest possible points.
