no 75/13 Volume record for German power derivatives at NASDAQ OMX Commodities

NASDAQ OMX Commodities’ cleared German power volumes set a record for the second time in September when volumes reached an unprecedented 1.89 TWh on September 19.

The market share for total cleared German power reached 17% on September 19.

Welcoming the new record Bjørn Sibbern, Head of NASDAQ OMX Commodities, said: “We are moving from strength to strength in German power, and this last record demonstrates our increasingly strong position in the German power market. We will continue to work with the market, members and brokers alike, to build the best solution for all participants.
