I was an alter boy for a couple years. The most unsafe place my family put me was a Catholic Church. Yet the amount of abuse that has gone on and swept under the rug is not shocking to me given the hypocritical stance the Church takes on just about everything. Even much of the Vaticans finances are involved with corrupt agencies.
All religion is evil. They hold up the few positive things it accomplishes to drown out all the negative things their way of thinking causes. Do whatever you like, preach about helping the poor, then vote Republican and call those same people lazy because you dont want to pay nearly record low taxes to the country you supposedly love. Then say a few Hail Marys and its off to the imaginary place in the sky. Or maybe to "hell", AKA molten lava in the Earths center. Its time for a whole swath of adults to grow up. (fingers in ears "I cant hear you lalalalalala" post another random flawed article instead
of debating a post from the "enemy".)
Its just too easy.
