This is pretty much what Janice's article said the other day.

Sorry for the delay in response it's been a bit fast and furious around here of late and I'm balancing multiple irons in the fire. Please know we appreciate your interest and consideration.
All racing events really benefit us in two ways: more R&D feedback and more exposure. We've never attended an event and not had more sales opportunities present. The simple truth is that literally 100% of the vehicles and drivers at these events could benefit from cambertires and it's just a matter of resources for us to expand the line and the sizing/fitment range to be able to meet more of their needs.
The Future of Tire Technology event is really exciting for us because it is put on by Smithers who is the third party authority for tire testing in the United States --- not just for the standard DOT types of tests, but also for validating the benefits (or lack thereof as is often the case) of new tread designs and materials --- they are used by all the big guys. We've never
had the money to use them to validate our tire performance results, but have gotten so much anecdotal and black box third party validation with media coverage that combined with just how intuitive the technology is to those that know the space they invited us to be a featured presenter at this their first conference.
The simple truth here is that the technology in the tire industry has been largely stagnant for decades with run flat tires being the only significant technology introduced in literally the last half century. And it is a technology that is both expensive and basically, well sucks (said with a French accent for emphasis) due to a number of inherent compromises. Cambertires do not cost any more to produce and do not require any significant changes to existing manufacturing/distribution infrastructure. The event gives us a chance to present to engineers and executives from the
OEMs and top tire companies all at the same time --- we're hoping some competitive juices will flow and instead of a "wait and see" approach we can kick some of them into a more active technology assessment approach that could result in licensing. Our focus with the limited production capacity we have now is UHP (Ultra High Performance) tires where we know there is open arms for the technology and the healthiest margins in the industry, but
a broader licensing model (either with tire or OEM car companies) is the bigger picture we look to affect through sales, promotion, and R&D activities. We only need to get to the 100th Monkey and it is a game changer.
We have a LOI and a definitive agreement in place with Cal-Bay for an exchange of assets for stock , but have been waiting just over eleven months now in a twelve month agreed upon period for results on obligations yet to be met by Cal-Bay to close. Wish I had a crystal ball.
We are open to discussing investment participation with qualified groups and are currently in discussions with two that have approached us in the last couple of months, but are not interested in participating in the Cal-Bay deal structure. We would like to eventually become a publically traded company and are open minded as to what route is the best route --- operating privately and then filing S-1 is a clean and great way to go, but will require more investment resources and John Scott the founder of Cambertire
wants to preserve equity for obvious reasons. One of the groups we are talking to wants to go the S-1 route and another group we are talking to favors a reverse merger approach --- just not with Cal-Bay.
There are no deals finalized, but the clock is ticking loudly so if there is interest in discussing participation, either within one of the structures currently proposed or otherwise now would be the window.
I'm on calls all morning tomorrow and then am driving to my place in the mountains, but could make myself available mid afternoon for a quick call or we could set something up for Mon or Tues am next week. 9-11am PST window is best, but I can also sometimes be available early afternoon PST.
Thanks again for the time and consideration.
Best Regards,
Mark McCoy
