We also never get the whole story. He didn't talk about owning 1/3 of Travel Tech and that we needed 5 airports for months after the initial deal was announced. Or that this could be a slow process and 285 airports wouldn't happen for a good while. It would likely be one at a time. We needed to know that.
When he introduced Galye Dickie he knew there was a glitch in her history. Instead of addressing it up front he left it to the bashers to research her. He could have avoided much of the negativity that resulted.
The other thing that destroyed his credibility is that he never took responsibility. I still believe the punch tv fiasco was his problem, it was his company. He needed to be on top of what was going on, ask questions. Every company I worked for had weekly meetings by the top people. You had to report on your piece of the business. I'm pretty sure that if I pulled what JC pulled and was allowed to go on for that long the CEO would have been gone for not knowing; and I would have been right behind.
His coming on these message boards and engaging people has been a disaster for him and the company. CEOs need thick skin.To engage a no-name alias on a message board, a CEO needs to be above that. He could have given us weekly or monthly updates that were clear and concise.
Could he turn this whole thing around? I reread the latest PR and disregarding the above and taking it at face value it sounds good. We watch Netflix most of the time. This isn't on the same planet as Netflix, like comparing Little League to the Major Leagues, but many Major Leaguers started in Little League.
I'm sticking with DEC 31. I still think my money has a chance. If we don't see the beginning of progress by DEC 31 then its probably done.
