Europe stocks trim gains after PMI data
LONDON (MarketWatch) -- European stock markets trimmed gains in midmorning action on Thursday, after manufacturing data from the euro zone showed the region contracted for the seventh month in a row. The Stoxx Europe 600 index (STX:XX:SXXP) traded up 0.1% at 269.49, down from its session high of 270.94. The U.K.'s FTSE 100 index (FTI:UK:UKX) gained 0.2% to 5,786.02, while Germany's DAX 30 index (ITFX
AX) edged 0.2% higher to 7,031.27. France's CAC 40 index (ENX:FR
X1) was up 0.2% at 3,468.87.
