Honestly, I haven't been watching the stock closely enough lately to see if this is still happening or not. From the looks of it now, it appears we are seeing heavy conversions. The dead giveaway is the fact that VERT is constantly on the top of the ask, and large chunks of shares keep going through at lower and lower prices.
