Syrian Rebel Admits Using Chemical Weapons
Late this week, news broke of a video showing a Syrian rebel admitting that his group, Riyadh Al Abdeen, had used chemical weapons on innocent civilians in Syria.
The man's name is Nadeem Baloosh, and in the video he speaks of his group using chemical weapons on Syrian civilians.
Baloosh can be heard to say, “Chemicals which produce lethal and deadly gases that I possess,” before continuing, “We decided to harm them through their women and kids.” The rebel then goes on to wonder aloud if it's acceptable to harm women and children, before quoting from the Quran, “Fight them as they fight you.
” Baloosh then quotes Osama Bin Laden (whom some rebel groups have openly praised ). “We’ll kill their women and children like Sheikh Osama Bin Laden said... until they cease killing our women and kids. " The rebel finishes his monologue by saying that the Syrian Army was on their way to where Riyadh Al Abdeen was ensconced, before stating, “So we had the idea that this weapon was very powerful and effective to repel them, we announced if they approached one meter, everything is permitted... We will strike them in their homes, we will turn their day into night and their night into day."
The contents of the video have yet to be confirmed by the Obama administration, who still says that it was the Assad government who used chemical weapons... but the video must throw some doubt onto the official story. Added to this, the many reports of brutality being carried out by the rebel forces has lead to a public relations nightmare for the Obama administration. The Syrian rebels are proving to be a "sucker's bet."
Earlier this week Russia announced that it had prepared a 100 page report detailing evidence that they say proves that the Syrian rebels, under the direction of Al Qaeda, had been the ones to use chemical weapons.
Earlier today, news leaked from the G20 conference in St. Petersburg, Russia that the Russian government believed the United States had been fooled by evidence manufactured by rebel groups allied with al-Qaeda. Russia is not the only nation expressing doubts about the culpability of the Assad regime.
All of these outside influences, along with a strong majority of American citizens speaking out against going to war, have seemingly turned the tide in Congress.
Many of the nation's representatives now seem ready to vote no on a war authorization with Syria. (Some even believe that the entire plot was manipulated by the Obama administration from the beginning.)
Let's pray that this marks the beginning of the end of the Obama administration's attempts to drive us to war.
