To all shareholders, we apologize for the lack of communication from the Company. Yesterday afternoon at around 3pm, several of our email and social media accounts were accessed from an unknown location in Louisiana that was not affiliated with the Company.
In order to identify the breach, we blocked access to accounts that were affected. The breach has been identified and no information was lost or accessed as part of the automatic protocols we put in place.
Unfortunately, one of the accounts that was blocked was the Treaty Energy Investor Relations department email, which subsequently also restricted access to our Facebook and Twitter accounts. This was by no means intentional and was not an attempt to restrict communication to our shareholders and took approximately 24 hours for the IR accounts to be restored.
We understand that this has brought on much frustration and anger as a response for not sending out the September 3rd newsletter as scheduled.
We apologize for this, and the decision has been made that instead of sending out the newsletter mid-week with information that is already out of date, the Company will be putting together a larger newsletter next week on September 9th, 2013.
