POET Technologies is a semiconductor device and process developer. With its head office in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and its
operations office in Storrs, Connecticut, the Company through ODIS Inc., a U.S. Company, designs III-V semiconductor devices for
military, industrial and commercial applications, including infrared sensor arrays and ultra-low-power random access memory. POET
Technologies has various patents issued and pending in the semiconductor POET process. The POET process enables the monolithic
fabrication of integrated circuits containing both electronic and optical elements, with potential high-speed and power efficient
applications in devices such as servers, tablet computers and smartphones.
Dr. Geoff Taylor, the Company’s Chief Scientist, and his team have developed the POET technology over the past 24 years funded in
part by development grants provided by the US government and military. Dr. Taylor currently conducts research at the University of
Connecticut (UConn) in Storrs, CT. The Company has 34 patents issued and 7 patents pending.
