I have experience with working in a hospital and I know the amount of energy that is constantly used. Smart decision by the hospital to use LED lighting. If LEDs are being installed near the helicopter pad as well, that is a very smart and safe move as LED lights can be brighter. Also, incandescent bulbs are known to shine mostly in one direction and the LED lighting will also help the pilot with maneuvering. I wouldn't be surprised if more nearby hospitals catch on as there is major competition with hospitals these days.
