GM, yesturday I sent an email to Forest Business Network which posted the article on Alana husby I think back in jan. this year. My email to them....Hello, I am a go green enthusiast and I noticed this article on Alana Husby you did logging underwater forests on Lake Gatun and Lake Bayano, great article and its great what she is doing for combating deforestation. My question to you is have you thought of doing an article on Hollund Industrial Marine Inc. which also just obtained a concession on Lake Bayano for underwater logging and has a technology that was tested in the early 2000s on the Tucurui Reservoir named tiger lynk that has the ability to cut underwater trees at a rate of 100 trees per 8 hr. shift at depths as deep as 200 ft. Without divers. Hollund Industrial Marine Inc. has the ability and technology in the tiger lynk to possibly change the way logging companies think about what they are doing to the earth through deforestation and show them a profitable and more environmentally friendly way to log while working with the local communities such as the kuna Indians as Hollund Industrial Marine is doing. I love reading articles such as this showing that their are companies who are combating the environmental discrepancies caused by greed and lack of understanding of the impact of their actions. I would encourage you to take a look at Hollund industrial Marine Inc., it might bring some attention to deforestation and what this company is doing to oppose the negative actions of what others are doing to forests all over the world......their return email.....Thanks for the heads up on Hollund Industrial. Sounds like they're using some innovative machinery for underwater logging. Just to let you know, we did not write the article on Alana Husby. We simply ran an excerpt from the article that was written by the Vancouver Sun. Regardless, we'll keep our eye out for news from Hollund. Thanks again.
