Sheboygan — Two teens are set to be sentenced in the Sheboygan Falls killing of the great grandmother of one of the boys.
Fourteen-year-old Antonio Barbeau was convicted of first-degree intentional homicide in the death of his great-grandmother Barbara Olson. He has a sentencing hearing Monday morning.
His 14-year-old friend, Nathan Paape, was convicted of being party to first-degree intentional homicide and is set to be sentenced Tuesday morning.
Authorities have said the boys, then both 13, used a hammer and a hatchet to kill the 78-year-old at her home last September before stealing her money. Both were charged as adults.
Paape had testified the robbery and murder were plotted and proposed by Barbeau just hours before they went to Olson's house. He testified he thought Barbeau was joking about killing his great-grandmother.
