On Saturday October 5th, 2013, NASDAQ OMX Nordic will perform verification tests of the site failover functionality in the Genium INET production environment. The system will be available for participants for login and standard reference data and business queries. No other type of business functionality will be enabled.
Participants are recommended to take advantage of this opportunity to test their own failover setup.
The test will take place on a Saturday, with the system running on the primary site (site A) to begin with. OMnet, FIX and ITCH connectivity will be enabled. At a given point in time, a controlled failover will be performed, switching the entire site functionality to site B, including access points for member connectivity. This will both verify the failover functionality in the back end system, as well as offer a full scale failover test for participants. Support will be available and the result and findings of the participant's testing will be collected.
The failover verification test will be available for all participants using the NASDAQ OMX Nordic Genium INET system:
- NASDAQ OMX Stockholm AB derivatives markets (including derivatives on Swedish, Danish, Finnish and Norwegian shares and indices)
- NASDAQ OMX Stockholm AB Fixed Income markets
- NASDAQ OMX Copenhagen A/S Fixed Income markets
- NASDAQ OMX Helsinki Ltd. Fixed Income markets
- NASDAQ OMX Oslo ASA Commodity markets
Details of the test, including time plan, will be communicated on Tuesday, August 20th, 2013.
