Hannover pegs initial three e-Books for July 23

Hannover House will release its first three e-Book format titles on July 23, with five additional titles slated for the 2nd half of 2013. E-Book platforms will include Amazon's KINDLE, Barnes & Noble's NOOK and other media formats for I-Tunes (I-Book) and 20-additional e-Book web streaming sites.

The first three e-Book releases will each also be available as print editions.

"One of the Lucky Ones" by Brenda Hancock (the authorized biography of her mother, Nicole Holland, who as a young girl in France during World War II, fought in the French Resistance while disguising her Jewish heritage); E-Book release July 23; Print edition now in stock.

The State of Arkansas currently has a twenty percent (20%) incentive rebate provision for qualifying motion picture and television productions. This was recently increased from 15%. Under the current structure, a movie -- such as "THE LEGEND OF BELLE STARR" (with a production budget of $1-mm to be spent in Arkansas) -- would be eligible for about $200,000 back from the State of Arkansas. There's an addition incentive from the State EDEC for a rebate of funds paid to tax-paying State of Arkansas residents or entities, which could add another 4% to the pool of rebates.

Over the past month, Fred Shefte and Eric Parkinson have traveled to Little Rock (the State Capitol) for meetings, including strategic discussions with the leaders of a new tax benefit for Arts & Entertainment (an ADDITIONAL 20% rebate for those projects meeting the specific requirements). This bill, HR 1980 and 1981, appear to have sufficient support to pass. If this occurs, a movie such as "THE LEGEND OF BELLE STARR" could receive up to 44% of its production costs back in State of Arkansas incentives. This total would be greater than Louisiana or Michigan (the current USA leading states for film incentives), and does not factor in the additional benefit of cost-of-living being lower in Arkansas (so "crews" cost less to start with than crews in Louisiana).

Established in 1993 as a book publisher, Hannover House, Inc. (OTC Pink: HHSE) has since grown into an independent powerhouse distributor of feature film, television programs, home video products and emerging digital entertainment platforms. Principal Managers for Hannover House are: Eric F. Parkinson, 54, C.E.O. - Parkinson has been in film and video distribution since 1983, with more # 1 top-selling hits than any other independent studio executive. As C.E.O. of Hemdale Communications, Inc., Parkinson was instrumental in creating successful releases for films including "Terminator", "Platoon", "Last Emperor" and 170 more. During his 30-years of experience in film distribution, Parkinson has created and implemented the release campaigns for more than 800 films.

D. Frederick Shefte, Esq., 65, President - Shefte's experience as an attorney and banker provides a complementary skill-set to Parkinson's distribution and marketing background. Shefte's experience as an attorney in California provides a solid business basis for his duties at Hannover House; Shefte and Parkinson have both provided services as adjunct professors and lecturers for the University of Arkansas / Sam Walton School of Business.

Significant benchmarks for Hannover House in the coming months include:

Hannover House is pleased to announce that Barnes & Noble and Amazon will both be carrying the company's new eBook releases... and on a selected basis, some Hannover House titles will also be available through I-Tunes / I-Books (Apple). All of the Hannover House eBooks will also be made available through the upcoming NTEK hosted TV Book portal and channel (details to follow). In order to accommodate placement with BN for their "Nook" platform, the initial three eBooks from Hannover House will be formally available next Tuesday (July 30); these were previously planned for July 23, but this would have jeopardized the support of BN. Here's to a nice, new (and lightning fast!) revenue stream for HHSE!

Back in 2009, Czech director Jirí Barta made a movie called "In the Attic" that played several film festivals and even won the grand prize at the New York International Children's Film Festival. It has since been picked up by Hannover House and will receive an English language dub with the help of American actor and writer Vivian Schilling.

Jirí Barta is a Czech born, stop-motion-animation director who has been called “The European Tim Burton” for his visually stunning blending of the fantastic with the macabre. Barta’s films, many of which used the medium of wood for animation, have garnered international critical acclaim and many awards, most notably, “The Pied Piper of Haemlin.” But after the fall of the communist government in Czechoslovakia in the early 1990’s, Barta faced a changing business and governmental climate for the arts and found himself struggling to adjust to the new economics of film production in former Soviet-bloc nations.

After struggling for 15 years (including significant pre-production work on “Golem”), he ultimately managed to release his first computer-animated short film in 2006. Since 1993 he has been the head tutor of the Artistic-Industrial University in Prague, Studio of Film and Television Graphics. In 2001 he was appointed a professor. In recent years, Jirí Barta has focussed extensively on commissioned animated productions for businesses and academia, including animated advertising, corporate logos (such as MTV) and illustrations. He also graphically cooperates on Prague theater and film productions.

His spectacularly crafted animated feature,TOYS IN THE ATTIC, took Barta and a team of over fifty animators, artists and illustrators more than three years to meticulously animate one frame at a time. In 2010, The film was discovered by Daniel Leseour, President of Paris-based Eurocine Films, who acquired worldwide sales representation / distribution rights from Barta’s production company and production partnerships. Eurocine engaged American writer Vivian Schilling to adapt the film into English, and to produce and direct the conversion of the film’s dialogue tracks in to English (including the hiring and directing of all voice talent performers). TOYS IN THE ATTIC will be Barta’s first USA Theatrical release, an achievement and career milestone which he calls“very, very exciting!” Next up for Barta is his long-sought labor-of-love, the stop-motion animated feature “Golem,” planned for production beginning late 2012 and a two-year production schedule. JIRÍ BARTA is one of the great inspiring personalities of both Czech and world animated film. His work has regularly taken Grand Prize at prestigious film festivals; indeed, films such as THE PIED PIPER and THE EXTINCT WORLD OF GLOVES are among the treasures of world animation.
