I was really surprised as well, based off of abacavir, who would have thought prurisol would have roots stemming from an HIV drug! Wow! I am trying to understand what the implications of this info is from a business standpoint - what is big pharma's reaction? Your thoughts p-dot? How does the fact that prurisol is based off of an hiv drug impact it's allure to big pharma? Or is it a non factor? Im trying to wrap my head around this and im not sure if im understanding it all right..seel, would love to hear your thoughts as well..

Also, one of the side effects of abacavir is hypersensitivity, which can at times be a serious side effect in up to 10% of patients. What are the implications for those taking prurisol, or do you think this is something that dr menon could hsve engineered out of the drug? Sorry if i am asking stupid questions, trying to connect lots of dots here. Thanks in advance p-dot and seel! (And anyone else)
