"So what do you want him to do? Just put it in a pr whenever it is due?"
YES! YES! YES! YES!
I'm all for communication with shareholders too, but just stop communication about things that aren't yet official and are out of your control.
Steve has a well documented track record of jumping the gun at this point.
1) He announced the CC deal and originally made it sound like it was round the corner in the upcoming weeks. 3 months later, still waiting.
2) He announced the QX upgrade and said 30-40 days, now he says it is in the much further future.
3) He said 2 weeks ago to be on the lookout for the CC info to be in the WSJ that day. Nothing.
All of these little things are what is killing us and making people lose faith and giving bashers all the ammo they need to make us bleed. I'm all for communication, but stop communicating things you have no control over.
And communicating anything in advance just gives shorters an opportunity to cover. Stop giving them that chance. Throw us a bone out of left field in an official PR and we'll see some much different activity.
People will not be so comfortable shorting and flipping a stock when they don't know what's around the next corner.
