Icahn Enterprises Announces Closing of $500 Million Senior Notes Offering

NEW YORK, Aug. 1, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Icahn Enterprises L.P. ("Icahn Enterprises") (Nasdaq: IEP ), together with Icahn Enterprises Finance Corp., announced today that they have consummated their offering of $500 million in aggregate principal amount of their 6.000% Senior Notes due 2020. The notes were sold in a private offering to qualified institutional buyers as defined in Rule 144A under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended (the "Securities Act"), and non-U.S. persons outside the United States under Regulation S under the Securities Act.

The proceeds from the offering will be used for general partnership purposes.
