Biogas Nord AG / Key word(s): Miscellaneous 31.07.2013 20:25 Dissemination of a Corporate News, transmitted by DGAP - a company of EQS Group AG. The issuer / publisher is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Biogas Nord AG - Publication of 2012 consolidated financial statements postponed - 2012: significant decline in turnover, net loss for the year in low seven-figure range - Restructuring programme negatively affects profit for 2013 Bielefeld, 31 July 2013. Biogas Nord AG, one of the leading providers of innovative and customised energy solutions in the field of biogas technology, is postponing the publication of its business figures for 2012 until the end of September 2013 and implementing a restructuring programme. As part of the compilation of consolidated financial statements under IFRS for the first time in 2012 and the changes to the Management Board at the beginning of July 2013, a range of issues have once again been subject to detailed review. In addition to the time-consuming work involved in conducting this process, circumstances have been discovered that will now undergo separate examination. Accordingly, publication of the 2012 consolidated financial statements has been postponed and is now anticipated at the end of September 2013. Deutsche Börse AG has already been informed of this situation. In comparison with 2011, the 2012 consolidated financial statements will exhibit a significant decline in turnover alongside a net loss in the low seven-figure euro range. In response to the figures, a decision was made to implement a restructuring programme based on six pillars. The reorganisation will affect the entire Group. The restructuring will focus on reporting, process management, the Finance and Controlling department, Sales and the Project Handling department. In addition to considerable cost savings thanks to a streamlined corporate structure, the primary objectives are greater profitability, marked improvement in process handling in all departments and an enhanced financial structure. Despite the current large order backlog of approximately EUR 80 million, a net loss is expected again in 2013 owing to non-recurring effects.
