VODwiz, the IPTV / OTT venture between Hannover House, Inc. (OTCPINK: HHSE) and NanoTech Entertainment (OTCPINK: NTEK) has launched a beta-test of the new channel for independent films. The initial test launch will includes over fifty films, exclusively from the Hannover House film library. The library will continue to expand in the coming weeks and months to more than two-thousand films. The channel is initially available on the Roku platform for viewing on internet connected televisions, and will be expanding to Computers, Mobile Phones and Tablets in the coming weeks. Films can be viewed on a pay-per-transaction basis with rentals starting at just $1.99. The VODwiz titles and platform will also be available as a stand-alone video-on-demand website, VODwiz.com, which Hannover House and NanoTech plan to launch in August.
We are very excited to launch the IPTV Channel for VODwiz, said Hannover House C.E.O., Eric Parkinson. The operational infrastructure built by NanoTech for this venture will be tested and tweaked as may be needed in the coming weeks. We will also begin adding more film and video titles from our participating studio partners to continue to expand the channel. Our goal is to establish the brand as the go-to source for consumers seeking the widest variety of films on the internet and television. By having Video-on-Demand content available on our website, as well as most internet connected devices and televisions, we are able to use the most popular state of the art methods in which consumers view content."
Initial pricing under the pay-per-transaction business model will make films available for $1.99 or $2.99, with television series programming available for $1.99 per 90-minutes. Hannover House and NanoTech will be exploring a variety of consumer promotional offers, including free movies, multi-title discounts, and the possibility of a monthly subscription based option.
Video-on-Demand websites, and the new IPTV formats, have created the opportunity for a virtual mega-video-rental store, said Hannover House President, Fred Shefte. As consumers adapt the ease of streaming content directly into their homes or mobile devices, we want to build VODwiz as a dominant location for the widest variety of programming. Most of the major V.O.D. sites at present are only offering major studio blockbuster films and a handful of independent, esoteric or foreign films. We see no logical basis for why VODwiz cannot become the virtual equivalent of a video super-store with thousands of interesting and hard-to-find films instantly accessible. We share the vision with NanoTech Entertainment, that the VODwiz website and the VODwiz IPTV-ROKU channel have the potential of becoming a major destination for entertainment consumers.
Jeff Foley, NanoTech CEO stated We were excited when Hannover House selected our technology as the platform to launch VODWiz . We believe that we are in the midst of a fundamental paradigm shift in how people consume their content, with on-demand programming becoming the essential delivery mechanism. Consumers no longer want to rely on a single distribution point or method for viewing and by having a library of unique titles, available on a variety of platforms will make VODwiz a great success.
Some of the initial Hannover House titles that will be available through the VODwiz beta-test phase include the acclaimed animated feature, Toys in the Attic, the nature documentary, Turtle: The Incredible Journey and the sci-fi action adventure, Zombie Warz: Falls the Shadow. As the platform becomes fully launched, Hannover House will upload additional titles for availability, as well as rotating in over two-thousand titles from a variety of participating studio suppliers.
