Cogswell College to Hold Open House for Prospectiv

SUNNYVALE, Calif., July 29, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Cogswell College , one of the world's leading regionally-accredited institutions offering a unique curriculum that fuses digital arts, engineering and entrepreneurship, is holding an Open House on Saturday, August 3, 2013, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at its Sunnyvale campus. Visitors are invited to experience firsthand what makes Cogswell a premier digital arts institution. Recently-revamped Digital Media Management courses, and new offerings in Game Design & Development, are being offered for the fall semester.
The San Jose Mercury News recently lauded Cogswell as "… one of the pre-eminent schools in video game design and digital cinema." Cogswell student animation films have won dozens of festival awards, audio students have won the MTV/ACT award for music videos and computer engineering students have worked with a top mobile carrier on an exciting new project.
The Open House will provide an opportunity to tour Cogswell's dynamic campus and learn more about its animation, game design, audio production and digital arts engineering bachelor degree programs. Attendees will be able to visit with some of the school's outstanding students, watch award-winning computer-animated short films, talk to an admissions representative and get answers to financial aid questions.
Campus tours run from 10:00 to 11:00AM. The Dragonhearts , the college's rock band, will perform at 10:30AM. Visitors can watch award-winning, student-created short animations following the tours at 11:00AM. Families are welcome and encouraged to come enjoy the music as they explore the many exciting opportunities offered by Cogswell's distinct mixture of academic programs.
