I agree, I'm seeing the same things and their desperation feeds my optimism!
I mean for christ sake, now Hipple apparently runs Rubicon, and by proxy I'm gonna have to assume Red Hat, which I remember when I was 12 or so my dad (phd in computer sci) used their OS while programming stuff for his work, which at that time was doing graphics-related stuff for Pixar and Sony.
