I think everyone should stay frosty on this one. Â

I think everyone should stay frosty on this one. Â That is, there is a possibility that the two-year investigation, which started well before the legalization of pot, was justified. Â I am really not sure the dramatics of appearing with guns drawn was required, but given the nature of young men, it's not so surprising. Â The CIA, NSA and DEA regularly recruit ultra-religious cronies, like Mormons, like the shariah police in the Middle East, so this kind of stupidity is to be expected. Â They also probably know their sad lives as DEA agents are about to be down-sized if pot changes schedule, so you can be sure big money is involved and they need to show how important they and their jobs are and come down hard on that terrible PLANT.
If anything, there may be a silver lining in this, for the feds may actually view their role as fundamentally changed with re: to pot. Â That is, there must be HUNDREDS of dispensaries in WA alone and they went after what they felt were the biggest offenders. Â Four?!? Â It's a small number and sends a warning to the others not to fkk up and follow the law. Â I actually DESIRE "GOOD" regulation because, sorry to say, there are many scumbags that rob and manipulate and hope to hurt other humans in this industry, so someone needs to stand up to the thieves and bad people. Â So I am not as concerned about four dispensaries if they were actually doing something they shouldn't--- we should wait and see before launching into rants and vitriole.
Like many on this forum, I am EXTREMELY disappointed that Obama, who has the ability to reschedule MJ per the Controlled Substances Act, has not done so, and seems to have specifically IGNORED dozens of peer-reviewed studies in order to maintain his dogmatic line. Â It's what happened to GWB, and he's proving himself not much better. Â It seems he has decided that he knows what's best for the States even though these states voted for pot legalization AND, I should add, for HIM. Â However, the foreign policies will have to change, and if he's been doing anything resembling leadership he has begun the process of prepping the US foreign policy for this key change.
We'll have to hope for the best.
