Hotel to Host Gold Medalist Swimmer, Anthony Ervin

MOSCOW--(Marketwired - Jul 24, 2013) - Anthony Ervin, renowned American swimmer, plans to stay at the Renaissance Moscow Olympic Hotel in October during the Moscow Swimming World Cup.

Ervin recently qualified for the 15 ^th FINA World Championships, which will be held this summer in Barcelona from July 20 ^th to August 4 ^th . Anthony will partake in the 50m Freestyle and 400 Freestyle relay, representing the United States.

Renaissance Moscow Olympic Hotel is known for its history and relation to athletics. However, the Moscow hotel's affiliation with the Olympics is not only due to its proximity to the famous Olympiiskiy Stadium. On July 3 ^rd , 2004 The Olympic Flame was carried through Moscow and for three days the city was lit by the burning torch ‐- the main symbol of the Olympics. The honor of hosting the Olympic Flame was bestowed on Renaissance Moscow Olympic Hotel. Today, as a memorial to the presence of the Olympic Flame -‐ the torch that was carried in the Relay is displayed in the hotel's Health Club.

In October 2012, Ervin came to Russia for the Moscow Swimming World Cup and won a Gold Medal and two Silvers.
