Kristen Stewart has reportedly dropped out of plans to star in director Nick Cassavetes ' new romantic drama.
The " Twilight " star, who has suffered a media and fan backlash after confessing she cheated on boyfriend Robert Pattinson with married director Rupert Sanders last month, had been due to romance Alex Pettyfer in forthcoming film Cali -- but she is said to have quit the project.

Stewart shocked Hollywood when she admitted to an "indiscretion" with her " Snow White and the Huntsman " director Sanders. The revelation appears to have ended her three-year relationship with Twilight co-star Pattinson after moving vans were spotted outside the Los Angeles home they shared.
