Telular Corporation Appoints Doug Milner Chief Exe

CHICAGO, July 17, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Telular Corporation, a global leader in helping businesses use wireless networks for remote monitoring and tracking, today announced that it has appointed Doug Milner as Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Milner will join Telular on August 7, 2013, at which time the current Interim CEO, Allen Yurko, will transition to Chairman of Telular. Mr. Milner will also serve on the Board of Directors of Telular.

In his role as CEO, Doug Milner brings strong engineering and business expertise across a range of industries. Most recently, Mr. Milner served as President and Chief Executive Officer and as a Director of Active Power (Nasdaq: ACPW ), a manufacturer of uninterruptible power systems and modular infrastructure solutions for data centers and other business operations where system up-time is considered mission critical. 

Prior to Active Power, Mr. Milner demonstrated his ability to consistently grow revenue and profitability in leadership roles at companies such as Aquilex Corporation, Xerium Technologies, and Ziptronix, Inc.  

Mr. Milner received a bachelor's degree in Physics from Ohio Wesleyan University, and both a master's of Science in Electrical Engineering and a master's in Business Administration from Duke University.
