Re: tenn21 #4627

on Navials website (the Navial website pdf was posted variously by jmbar, mad and myself) ,after the Colonet port idea to the South was defeated, Navial showed a ship station-not really a port -just an off shore  ship station where ships could be offloaded or on loaded from barges I guess,1 of the ideas CWRN had for loading at Ensenada, and a practice used by some ports around the world

the ship station shown on Navial website was pretty much directly out to sea from Erendira-(not connected to the land)-which makes sense because theres a paved highway to Erendira pretty direct from the CWRN mine- Navial would presumably build

Ensenada port has plans to build a separate bulk commodities terminal North of Ensenada- delayed by lack of funding

plans change-so either entity could decide to follow the plan you suggest- is there a paved road along the ocean N of Erendira? -because paving a road is a BIG project for the Mex govt- and Puertocito, near where CWRN might have barged from Nazarena, was happy to finally get a 2 lane paved road itself recently

how many people live in Erendira- would the locals favor a port or terminal? the Colonet port failed partly due to local opposition-and no doubt financing- the broke Mex govt wanted an international consortium to fund these things-as we posted in past articles

whoever has the money would build the terminal or station-the contract operator of the EIT terminal could build if the Ensenada port had the money
