VODWiz vs Redbox Comparison
<< Redbox, the company that rents DVDs out of automated kiosks for $1 per night, has been bought for up to $176 million by its biggest investor, Coinstar. What will Hannover House be worth once Vodwiz gets up and running and how much will Netflix or some other company be willing to pay for it? >>
Now, this is an interesting comparison I had not really thought about. My Walmart has a Redbox in their lobby. Redbox has the added infrastructure expense of costs for each kiosk location. Plus I assume Rexbox pays a percentage to Walmart. Consumers must physically pick up and return DVD.
WODWiz has none of this expense. There is no DVD. VODWiz brings the product directly into the consumers living room, exactly at the time they want. Just plop down on your couch, click a button, enjoy, and be on your way. Simple, fast, cheap, convenient.
Rather than limited to the several thousands kiosks, VODWiz will available to Billions of consumers worldwide. I assume all you need is internet connection.
The more I learn about VODWiz and all this amazing technology, it just blows me away. Exciting.
