As chief operating officer, John Vincent oversees the overall operations of all facilities within the Pacer portfolio.
Prior to becoming chief operating officer, Vincent served as Pacer?s chief nursing officer and director of hospital operations. Vincent started with the company as the director of nursing of South Cameron Memorial Hospital, a former Pacer facility, and has quickly joined the Pacer management team. He has helped turn around the cash flow of several Pacer facilities, managed the turn around of several Pacer acquisitions, and has restructured the operations of a two (2) $20 million hospitals. Vincent has worked with facility administrators and medical staffs to decrease nursing agency usage throughout the organization. He was also an integral part of implementing new computer systems in Pacer?s facilities.
Previously, he served as the manager of the emergency department, operating room, medical surgical, and intensive care unit at Women and Children?s Hospital in Lake Charles, Louisiana, a 65 bed facility with annual net revenues of approximately $30 million. Prior to his work at Women and Children?s, Vincent served as the emergency department technician and then the emergency department charge nurse at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital in Lake Charles, Louisiana, a 150 bed facility with annual net revenues of approximately $60 million.
Vincent is a member of the Emergency Nurses? Association and American Heart Association and is a certified ACLS and PALS instructor and an instructor for basic life support and trauma nursing.
Vincent holds a degree in nursing from Louisiana State University, as well as a master?s in nursing administration from Regents College, New York
