Ishrat Jahan fake encounter case: Javed, Rana failed to buy gun in UP During their trip to Uttar Pradesh in May 2004, Javed Shaikh alias Pranesh Pillai and the alleged Pakistani national, Amjadali Rana, were desperate to purchase a pistol before election results but could not get one.
