UP floods hit 5 lakh people; claim 124 lives Rains continued to lash parts of Uttar Pradesh, where swollen rivers have flooded 600 villages in 12 districts, disrupting the lives of five lakh people. Flood and rains have so far claimed 124 lives in the state since June 15.
