The NSF Certified for Sport® program is based on the American National Standard for dietary supplements – NSF/ANSI 173. Testing and certification to this standard helps protect consumers by verifying that dietary supplements have accurate labels and do not contain harmful levels of contaminants. The NSF Certified for Sport® program also screens dietary supplements for more than 180 athletic banned substances. This program is used by the NFL, NHL, MLB, PGA, LPGA and Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) and the  New York City Police Department. Additionally, NSF conducts ongoing testing and audits the manufacturing facility to confirm ongoing compliance.

"Earning NSF Certified for Sport® certification for ElectroFuse® and PowerFuse® products has been a long process but worth the effort," said  Jeanne Hebert , Vice President of Marketing and Clinical Research at Fuse Science, Inc.  "NSF International auditors spent substantial time at our manufacturing and filling facilities to ensure the highest standards were met in addition to testing our products at their laboratories to verify label accuracy and product safety. At Fuse Science, we take every precaution to ensure the highest quality ingredients are in every product.  NSF Certified for Sport® certification demonstrates our hard work and dedication to providing the safest products to the market and athletes everywhere."

"NSF Certified for Sport® mark on ElectroFuse® and PowerFuse® products allows our Major League Baseball players  David Ortiz and  Jose Bautista to market and use the product in public settings," stated  Rubin Hanan , President and COO of Fuse Science, Inc.  "Both David and Jose were elected to the 2013 MLB Baseball All-Star game and can now embrace both products with all the players. Our MLB trainer  Kevin Ball and his team can now utilize PowerFuse® and ElectroFuse® products in their daily training with athletes.  This is a major step to expand our products rapidly throughout all leagues as the program is recognized by NFL, NFLPA, MLB, MLBPA, PGA and LPGA."

For earning NSF Certified for Sport® certification, ElectroFuse® Lot #EF3126-1 and PowerFuse® Lot #PF3141-1 earn the right to use the NSF Certified for Sport® mark on product packaging, which will be listed on  NSF International's listings and appear in the  NSF Sport mobile app .

Fuse Science, Inc's  Oxnard, California facility is also registered to the NSF Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) program, which verifies that the facility has the proper methods, equipment, facilities, and controls in place for producing dietary supplement products. NSF GMPs were developed in accordance with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's 21 CFR part 111 regulations for the manufacturing, packaging, and distribution of dietary supplements.
