somebody asked if there was a connection between Hecla and Kiliwa -since Kiliwa immediately segues into a statement re Hecla on the fb page in madflights post 71
I have no idea why Kiliwa immediately mentioned Hecla, other than, as I said, to indicate a well known miner w some smarts-except for their recent injury record at lucky friday mine- has an interest in the area -thus confirming the area as one which has considerable mineral potential-
also Hecla has had a lot of cash and has been on the prowl for acquisitions-they lost their bid for the drumlunon (sp) gold mine in Mt in a war w now USGIF- which has now put the Montana goldmine on maintenance only- due to low price of gold-so Hecla instead bought Aurizon for 400 million-
I would think Hecla's major acquisitions are done for now, but they could easily afford an acquisition of only a few 10's of millions- but it does raise another interesting possibility as to why Brad bought CWRN control shares- not insinuating anything negative on Brads part as Navial has been buying up all its inholdings for years-and HL has never had any involvement w iron to my knowledge-always silver and now gold w Aurizon mines
but Navials holdings around Baja 4 and 14 do have silver-both alluvial and land based
