Thanks for the TA Big Tuna, although I'm extremely dubious as to whether TA is valid for such a low volume/illiqid stock. In my view TA only works if enough people believe it (a bit like "magic" tricks) and so it becomes self-fulfilling. The reality is that the past history of a stock's price cannot possibly predict its future price. However, if enough technical analysts are interested in a stock, then technical analysis does have some merit, as in effect the TAs feed off each other and thus affect the market sentiment on it.
I'm glad someone has at last mentioned the volume on Friday of last week, as 6m shares managed to change hands that afternoon without the price moving one iota if you examine the day chart.
Why was this? The volume was more than double the average for the past few weeks, and whenever I have bought these shares over the past few months the price has always risen, as you would expect. Usually 100-200k shares bought would be certain to move the price up.
This is the first time I've seen this happen - does anyone have an explanation for what happened on Friday?
