Rod awarded the contract in early June during his trip to the mine for the dig/load/haul operations at the Chloride copper mine to Desert Construction, Inc. located in Kingman, AZ. Again SIRG went with the best.
Desert Construction has been the premier supplier of ready mix, paving, sand and rock products for over 40 years in Kingman, AZ. and Mohave County. Desert was started in the mid 60's by two brothers, Ken and Virgil Short, with little more than "bailing wire and chewing gum, but a clear vision.
Since the 1960's, Desert has grown from a hand full of employees to over 80, including some of the most experienced supervisors, drivers, and equipment o perators in Mohave County.
Desert Construction owns a large fleet of equipment used in the ready mix, Asphalt paving and excavation industries. This includes a fleet of mixer trucks, dump trucks, and belly dumps. We also own heavy equipment for large excavation projects including a variety of scrapers, dozers, backhoes, blades, loaders, and other equipment designed for specifically for paving and excavation projects.
Because of our equipment fleet, we are capable of completing even the largest of commercial projects in and around Kingman and Mohave County. Our drivers are fully licensed and periodically tested for any substance abuse. We also maintain a safety and ongoing training program for drivers and equipment operators.
