Fit Check Sets Stage for Orion Spacecraft Recove

Engineers and technicians prepared unique hardware for a fit check of equipment that will be used to recover the Orion crew vehicle upon splashdown in the Pacific Ocean.

For the first time, the crew module recovery cradle designed by Lockheed Martin, the boilerplate handling fixture bumper assembly designed at Kennedy Space Center, and the Orion boilerplate test article designed and built at Langley Research Center were assembled and tested in one place.
