I bought a samsung 42 plasma a few years ago because it was one of only two tv models at best buy that that had a refresh rate of 120 HZ, now i see they are up to 600hz  1080p. i used to repair tv's for a few years, power supplies, logic boards and back light inverters blowing left and right, phillips is terrible, i was converting houses over when the whole country went from analog to digital idk 6 or 7 years back, only house's who used antennas or old tv's with out the built in atsc tuners, we would install digital to analog converters
