Here's some info on Dave Huckaba:
Dave Huckaba is an American mixed martial artist who competes in the Heavyweight division. He is the former Gladiator Challenge Heavyweight Champion and is the current West Coast FC Heavyweight Champion. Dave has fought in various of organizations like Bellator, Gladitor Challenge, Tachi Palace Fights, EliteXC, Shark Fights, KOTC, and is currently signed with WSOF.
MMA career[edit]
Huckaba made his mixed martial arts debut in 2006 at Gladiators Challenge 52: Deep Impact against Donny Easterling. He won via first round submission in less than thirty seconds.
After sporting a 3-1 record in his first four fights Huckaba face Bo Redrum" Cantrell at GC 63: Crackdown. He won the fight via TKO in just 26 seconds. Huckaba and Cantrell would face off one more time at GC 67: Vendetta. This time Huckaba won by KO in five seconds.
Huckaba lost his next fight to Jon Murphy via KO in the second round.
After the loss to Murphy, Huckaba won his next 5 fights including winning the Gladiator Challenge Heavyweight Championship.
Huckaba's momentum was derailed when he fought former UFC vet Lavar Johnson. Johnson won via TKO in the first round.[1]
Huckaba then faced Rick Randolph at Gladiator Challenge - Validation. He won via TKO in the second round.
He looked to avenge the loss he had to Jon Murphy but was unsuccessful and lost in the first round by submission
Dave would bounce back winning his next six fights, winning five by Knockout.
Huckaba with a record of 17-4 made his Bellator debut against Damian Grabowski. He lost via unanimous decision.[2]
Huckaba then had a rematch against Rob Jackson at Rebal Fighter. He won via second round TKO.
In his next fight he took on Carl Seumanutafa at Cage Combat. He won via KO.
In his next fight Dave took on Carter Williams for the inaugural West Coast FC Heavyweight Championship. He won via submissions in the 2 round.[3]
World Series of Fighting[edit]
Dave is expected to fight Brazilian Jui Jitsu black belt and former UFC vet Rolles Gracie at World Series of Fighting 3 set to take place on June 14, 2013.[4] The fight was canceled on June 7th due to an injury sustained by Gracie.[5]
Huckaba is now expected to make his WSOF debut against WSOF's President Ray Sefo at WSOF 4 which will be held on August 10 in Ontario, California.[6]
