Yep, Si is nearing the end of its life cycle & GaAs (Gallium Arsenide) can be its successor because its much faster, denser and due to the fact that many computer chips can be replaced with one monolithic chip (of OPL) it is much cheaper to produce. Thats why POET is a disruptive technology, revolutionary, something brand new that won't be sold for peanuts!
