I'd settle for a 2" pipe which according to this site http://www.1728.org/flowrate.htm would allow a max 335 bpd to flow through it. I think most would be happy with that!
Just for a laugh, I calculated for a 36" pipe, and velocity of 1 foot per second. Result: 52.877 gallons per second. One barrel equals 42 gallons.
52.877 / 42 = 1.2589 barrels per second * 3600 = 4532.3143 barrels per hour * 24 = 108775.5429 bpd! At that rate we'd tap out the entire 6,000,000 recoverable oil in three days
