Coming up: Second-quarter U.S. growth report
WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) – The U.S. government will issue its preliminary report on how fast the U.S. economy grew in the second quarter at 8:30 a.m. Eastern. Economists surveyed by MarketWatch project that gross domestic product rose 1.3% in the April-June period, down from 1.9% GDP in the first quarter. At the same time, the Commerce Department will release revised growth figures for the years 2009 to 2011 as part of its annual review process.
