IRIS Mission Set for Launch Today
Preparations for launch of NASA's Interface Region Imaging Spectrograph (IRIS) mission continue at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California.
IRIS will show the lowest levels of the sun's atmosphere in more detail than ever before, helping scientists understand how the energy in this area helps power the sun's million-degree corona.
