Due to the recent problems at the Mineral Park Min
Post# of 4018
Due to the recent problems at the Mineral Park Mine and Hondo's Tennesee mine, both caught operating without permits, SIRG is being put under the microscope.
Neither of those companies had to file and EIS and if SIRG has to do it then they should too! This is not fair. Of course the EIS is a wild card, the Kingman BLM doesn't bother with them for
other mines so they probably don't even know what it is!
Actually the DEIS and EIS can be filed online. http://www.epa.gov/oecaerth/nepa/eisdata.html
A DEIS is a Draft Environmental Impact Study or Statement. I believe SIRG will file that and they will look it over and ask for revisions or questions
The mine operated previously with no environmental impact so there should be no problem.
We can track the E.I.S. here.
