That statement is completely false and the assumption is completely wrong. The fact is, you don't know.
I'm not in Belize currently and I can neither confirm or deny any commercial oil finding.
What I will say is that the Government of Belize will make that call . One way or the other. Period!
I know I have the best sources for information on this subject. Here is the Proof...
BULL, Max and Hamdi... Me, Head of TECO Belize operations and Owner of Princess Petroleum doing the logging on SJ2. There was a blockage in the hole and we couldn't complete the logging.
